Fannish stuff…
Jan. 21st, 2007 01:14 pmWatched 32 & 33 of Kokumono. :D Not the squee-fest of 29, but not the "what's going on?" of 30. One brief flash in 32 made my little heart so happy. Vengeful? Me? *innocent look*
*scowls at download* Hurry up, 34!
I've also finished watching Welcome to the NHK! I quite liked it. In fact, I might even watch it again after some time has passed. Even the ending pleased me, although there was some "are you nuts?!", but it was in character. I should warn you that an ending that pleases me often doesn't please the rest of the world. Also, I have a very low tolerance for characters making fools of themselves. It reminds me too much of how easy it is for me to do that. Considering that, it's quite surprising that I made it through all of Satou-kun's foolishness. Still, I liked.
But, considering that I've given up on NANA (for now at least, I might go back later), I need a show to watch. *ponders* There's that show that everyone was all excited about but has been licensed and subbing has "stopped". But — shounen! *twitch* Or there's the Wallflower. But I've heard such mixed things about that and I gave up on the manga. *ponder* Anyone have any suggestions? (Maybe I should get my Ysa to drop a disc of Ouran into the mail for me. You'd think that considering the hoard (curls around hoard protectively, "my preciousssssss"), I would have things to watch. Actually, I do, but…)
For now, I shall go back to snarking at Torchwood. I tell ya, if I didn't love Capt. Jack so, this rubble of cliché would've been ejected long ago.

Date: 2007-01-21 08:29 pm (UTC)Thank you!! I couldn't agree more. It's sorta slick for the BBC, I'll give it that. But yeah. Utterly clichéd and takes itself too seriously. It's a shame in a way.
BTW, *really* enjoying the Saiunkoku Monogatari fansub! Thanks for the link!

Date: 2007-01-21 11:40 pm (UTC)Glad you're liking Kokumono! I think Ghost Hunt might be right up your alley too. ^_^ (Or that could be my recent obsession with it talking.)

Date: 2007-01-22 02:55 pm (UTC)I've got all of Ouran if you need it.
Torchwood didn't do it for me either. I didn't hate it, but I don't love it either. Someday I'll download more than the few eps I have of it now, but until then it's not going to bug me that I don't have it.

Date: 2007-01-22 08:15 pm (UTC)Although I vengefully deleted Torchwood the second it was done, it's still on the external hard drive. If you like, I can hold off on deleting it forever until after you've nabbed what you need.

Date: 2007-01-23 05:12 pm (UTC)Ep34 didn't look all that interesting to me unless you really dig Kokujou and Shuunki (I'm ambivalent). But, to each their own!
Ouran is worth watching. Beautiful production values, great eye candy, cute story and I dug the heroine a lot. It ain't heavy by any means but I liked it quite a bit. I have it all so if you'd like it, please let me know.

Date: 2007-01-23 08:57 pm (UTC)That said, thank you SO much for your fansub work. I prefer your and Shadow's work to the other group that's doing this series. It's interesting to compare the translations!

Date: 2007-01-23 10:01 pm (UTC)It's so true. And still I watch it raw. *sigh*
Glad you're enjoying the subs! ^_^
