This video is great! Good narrative, good use of music. Camerapersons were definitely injured in the making of this movie. And it's full of cats. ^_^

Those of y'all who follow Cute Overload might've seen it already. La! It's worth watching again.

Late in the workday yesterday, I yawned and stretched, and my shoulder knotted up something fierce. Fortunately, it started to ease up right away, but wow, it's still sore. :( I really do need to take advantage of my newly-reacquired benefits and go see a physiotherapist. Blah. Stupid body.

^†I'm usually pretty cavalier about citing my sources. However, Amanda Marcotte has shown me the error of my ways, if only by her bad example. :( So I shall try to be more diligent about sources. 'Sides, it'll give y'all who're interested some more reading.

I gradually stopped reading Pandagon a while back. What happened with Marcotte? I seem to have missed the fuss.

She got a book deal to write about immigration policy as a feminist issue. Then BrowmFemPower wrote a post without naming names about white feminists getting the book deals and not even acknowledging the women of colour. That got turned into a discussion of plagiarism and Marcotte made rather an ass of herself defending herself and attacking detractors all over comment threads. It wasn't pretty.

[Then the book came out (or another she wrote) and it featured some lovely photos of a buxom blond women in a leopard-print bathing suit rescuing a white man from spear-throwing black men. (I wish I were making that up.) She at least had the grace to concede, when it was pointed out, that the illustrations were really racist, but she'd had the book for a while by then. So some bloggers weren't impressed by her "oh yeah".]

It's referenced here because I became aware of the fact that I rarely keep track of how I got where I end up on the toobz, and I should do better about that.
