Day successfully completed! You know how I extolled the virtues of leaving a place victorious? Ain't got nothin' on returning victorious! Everyone was lovely, and there was the periodic "you look familiar" puzzled look. ^_^
I lucked into the perfect work station. Back in May, I was in a cube in the row that liked the overhead lights off. I'd dreaded that I'd be put back there, but didn't quite have the nerve to ask for something better, say the cubicle the other temp had: an outer one on the wall with a window out onto Queen's Park. A south-facing window that opens. I didn't get that cubicle. I got the one 2 over with same window situation. As new supervisor walked me over to it, it was drenched in sun.
I would say something like "I had to pinch myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming", except considering this morning's dreams, there's no confusion at all.
Also, I checked out my new secondary library today. It's not as close as the previous one (City Hall, right beside the Ombudsman's building), but it has other virtues. *smug* It's Lillian H. Smith. I can't wait to get in there and explore! (And yes, I've already checked the hours. No more Mount Pleasant fiascos for me! I blame the pastries. Pastries confuzzle the brain something fierce!)
Don't worry: I'll be back to cranky & misanthropic soon enough.
