Now I know why I'd been skipping them. I'm 2 days behind on my flist, the carnival I so foolishly clicked on has led to 2 new blogs and 1 new journal to read (and counting, of course), with still several tabs open to explore & read, all of which probably have several links. It's also led to 3 new entries on my "to read" list, but they're not at the library, so they're "to buy & read" (that sound? just my bookshelves groaning in agony; we don't even hear the finances' bemoanments anymore)…

How do y'all do it? How do you keep up with the flist and the blogs and the knitting and the watching and the working?! Have you somehow managed to give up sleep?! Okay, fine, you don't all knit, but damnit! I've been knitting while reading and I'm still falling behind. *wails*

And 2 of the tabs I have open are new carnivals to check out. *whimpers*

We won't even discuss the state of Ginlandia.

Not working helps. And I knit while I watch TV! And play with the ferrets! (Except for the days I'm first drafting, and then I write in there, too.)

But not working really helps. I recommend everyone get rid of their day job, unless they really love it for some reason.

I would totally take your advice but for 2 things: the rent, and I've found my Dream Job™. I don't have it, mind you, but I want it with a fierce longing. And so I must continue to strive for it.

(And the cats would get mad if I ran out of food. :/)

Yes, the rent and cat food... There is that.

Good luck with the Dream Job! *crosses fingers*

I suppose if you really want that and also to keep all the other things, you should give up cleaning the house. *firm nod*

I sometimes wonder the same thing. How do you all do it? I'm not even working and I have a hard time keeping up with my f'list, my email and my online forums. It takes me forever to read a book; and if I take the time to watch anything I get way behind in everything else. Of course, I do clean my house. ;) *hides*

you can knit and read? wow.

I just do things very quickly. Oh and go live in a foreign country for a year when I get tired. lol.

If the pattern's simple enough and the text is big enough, yep. ^_^

Yes, because you're doing nothing over there. ^_~

I don't have a t.v. That helps. ;)

An excellent point. I got rid of mine about a year ago - so much more space! (And now I *ahem* shows to watch. *headdesk*)

My keys to success:

1) I can read my blogs at work during down time

2) My f-list is relatively small

And I get no downtime at work (except for the times I sneak over to gmail), and my flist is large with the largeness (and skimming).

It seems to be a periodic assembly of links on a theme with introductions. The problem is that links multiply faster'n bunnies…

Most of us are good at faking the keeping up with life thing. ^_^ Although, I believe I've fallen into the "so far behind I think I'm ahead" category. :(
