I'm quite saddened by news of Madeleine L'Engle's death. Like many, I enjoyed her writing a great deal. One of my most impassioned high school English assignment journal entries was upon discovering one of her later books in the "Wrinkle in Time" series (Meg & Calvin's daughter Has An Adventure) and being all a*squee* over it. Good times. I haven't read anything of hers in a very long time, especially if you don't count reading half of the copy of A Wrinkle in Time I bought to give to my niece a few years back. Still, happy memories. I'm grateful for those.

And now for something happier. There's a TNT downtown. Ohyeah! Very good news, this. *dances* (Okay, still not great location for the transit, but workable, very workable. Yay.)

I did like her books. It's funny, though -- one of those brain things made me think at first it was Ursula K. LeGuin -- and when SHE dies, I'll be morose for a month.

TNT -- we must go some time.

I have issues with LeGuin. Mostly issues because of LeGuin - my university creative writing instructor had decided that she hated FSF because of too much not great stuff from students and decreed often that LeGuin was the only original one.

That said, I read a book of short stories she wrote that had no FSF to it at all. Instead it had a very Russian (Children of the Arbat, to be precise) feel to it. I should give her a try.

TNT = yes!

LOVED L'Engle's work. Read everything I could get my hands on of hers.

And who needs a TNT downtown *her with car pulls innocent face as she drives leisurely over to TNT at the Promenade mall*

TNT location doesn't look terribly convenient. You'll have to let me know if free parking is available. Although right now the one at the Promenade is more conveniently located while I am attending York.
