The high jump rival in the Taiwanese version of Hana Kimi is just hawt. HAWT! I feel so wrong. I'm sorry Sano!

(On the other hand, Quan (Sano) is pretty damned adorable too. In a different sweet way. I love his "gotta ride to the rescue again" face. ^_^)

Alas, the adaptation plays up the goofy comedy of the story. :/ That's not why I love it, damnit. *stomps foot*

Are you catching the new J-drama version? It's definitely got a more angsty feel to it. I actually liked the, admittedly poorly acted, comedy in the T-drama.

As for broken boys, I was home this past week and met the youngest brother (age 18) of one of my guy friends (age 28). The young one's a broken boy if I ever met one--I wanted to wrap him up and take him home with me. I actually got him to laugh and smile at one point (at my own expense, but where else does good comedy come from), and I considered it a high achievement. He told my youngest sister's boyfriend (did I mention I come from a small town?) that I was nice, when usually he's very gruff about women. lol. So. damn. cute. I told him he could come visit me in Japan if he found the money to do so.

I saw the first episode of the Japanese. I'm seriously torn. I really wanted to like it. I haven't got to the angst yet, but I heard about the change in the cause of Sano's injury. :/

*praises* Broken boys are always to be treated well. I love your "wanted to wrap him up and take him home". ^_^ It's exactly how I feel about my boys.
