Why, damnit, why?!
Feb. 21st, 2007 08:34 pmI did the battle cry meme, courtesy of
glr1114, but I won't post the results. I won't befoul my journal with the atrocious (okay, just bad) grammar.
*fierce*
On the subject, o! wise flist, aid me! I'm coming up against "hanged"/"hung" and I can't remember the rules. I used to know, but that was all tangled in with German and the dative case. I know it has to do with transitive (object)/intransitive (no object). Extrapolating from the tarot's "hanged man", I think "hanged" is transitive? Or is it a case of the action of hanging (I hanged the picture), as opposed to the inaction of hanging (the picture hung on the wall)? But my examples are transitive/intransitive. *puzzles*
