Yesterday, I read 15 volumes of Hana Kimi. O_O I'd originally said, "nope, no way, don't like the gender-switch shoujo stories", but this… this is cute! And it's not typical shoujo story.

All this came about after a delightful conversation with Hez that involved the words "broken" and "boy", and maybe "cute". *hides* She's already learned how to get me, I think. (BTW, on your e-mail: it has to be from the right person. ^_^) (Some blame goes also to myYsa, who has tried to wriggle out of it, saying, "but I've only read 6 volumes!" The thing is that you told me the thing that needed to be told to make me open to even reading this.)

So yeah, there's 8 more volumes and a yomikiri. And my student has the absolute nerve to attend class, isntead of e-mailing me and saying he's not going so I can stay home and finish Hana Kimi. *cries*

BTW, for any of you playing our home game, we've released a bunch of GH recently (but I was a bad little fansubber & didn't put it up here). There'll be 2 more episodes, tonight & tomorrow. Watch it - it's good. And we're just going to start Shadow's favourite story (*cowers* I hear it's scary). The thing is, we've caught up on the backlog (of this show, at least), so we'll have to wait a week to find out how the cliffhanger is resolved. *cries* (Poor Shadow & Hez - since this story began, I've been all, "so, when's the next one ready for us to see? I wanna know! MAI!" *pours tea for poor abused friends*)

I really enjoy Hana Kimi a *lot*. I have all the English volumes and vol16 coming out... soon... matter of days... the wait kills... sob....

I like it as much for the artwork as for the story. Pure beauty. Bishie heaven. I don't usually buy "The Art of XYZ" books but I did snag that one. In fact, I don't really have the desire to watch the live drama (is it Korean? don't remember) that's playing now... I like the visuals with the story as-is.

Now if someone would just pickup the KokuMono manga -- I've seen a few scanlations of that. GORGEOUS. Plus it's always nice to witness additional internal dialogue. Makes it a richer experience.

And you get to see Shuurei in some really cute outfits during her palace stay. ^_^

I read the rest of it today (scans - *hides*). I read it all so quickly that I haven't properly processed it all. But yes, bishie-licious!

Yeah, the KokuMono manga would be good. (Although, I'm more of a novel person, and since it was originally written as novels, I think I'd prefer to have them translated (well, of course).)

I wish those publishers knew how desperately I want to give them my money for content I don't have to piece together.
