Shiny! And stuff…
Dec. 6th, 2006 01:07 pmIt's mostly spoiler-free (maybe some hints, but no outright spoilers), but cut so I don't bore you. I'm now convinced that Naru is broken. His arrogance is a combination of extreme confidence (because he is pretty darned capable) and a cover for that brokennation. *pets* He really wants people to just trust him and follow, without having to explain. Ayako's reaction to what happens in episode 6 (sorry, you'll see soon enough) illustrates the why of this very well. Poor guy. *pets* Still, if he wants into my Home, he's going to have to scale that arrogance back a little.
Mai, on the other hand is a Very Good Girl. Granted, she doesn't have the blind acceptance (yet) that Naru wants, but she's got this innate "must help, must do the right thing" reaction. It makes me happy, and makes me like her a lot. I don't normally "ship" pairings, but I think this one has enough basis for me to do so. I think her dreams are another sign of Naru's brokennation. I was thinking from the very end of episode 2 that there was something more to her, ep 6 has more signs of this. Actually, I was half-hoping that the first arc would end with it all having been Mai's doing. Not that I want to take away from her Very Good Girl-ness, but just 'cause. ^_^
On the subject of Very Good Girls, Full House's Ji-Eun pleases me very much, for that same reason. She just always does the Brave and Right thing. *pets* I haven't watched any more (still on 14), but I like her so. I've also become convinced that Rival isn't really after her. Rather, he's doing what he's doing to seem like he's trying to drive a wedge between them and actually bring them closer together. Delusion much? ^_^
*pets icon* My preciousssssss
In other news, Megaupload continues to frustrate with its download limits. Still, it's the only one that allows the file size we need and a download manager. I really have to yell at Rogers. Don't wanna. *pout* Someone wave a magic wand and make it all better. (Stuart, before you yell at me about it, now that Heroes in on hiatus, all my downloads are belong to Shadow.)
Ohcrapthetime! I have to get ready for work!
