I started up again, but the drive wouldn't mount. I could see it in System Profile, but not mounted. I ran Disk Utility, verified, and it said something about the header. I tried to repair, but it said it couldn't. Then there it was, mounted. *puzzled*
So, I went back on my way, relieved that all was well.
All was not well. Today, playing in Firefox (with too many tabs open, yes), the whole system froze. (Not just Finder this time.) At the time, I had a torrent running, writing to the hard drive. (Yes, Stuart tells me I should write to the internal and store on the external, I know.) Again, I had to manually power off and start up. Again, the drive wouldn't mount. I tried Disk Utility, but it's not fixing my problem. :(
I tried to connect it to my Pet (laptop), but same problem - it's in System Profile, but not mounted. I also tried the USB connection - same thing.
Who can save the Ginny's day?
