We did this episode at the same time as 5, so it was twice the Ryuuren. *twitch* Except, damnit! he's grown on me. *sigh*

As a Shuurei type (reasonably intelligent if I apply myself (I like to think), with some gaps in understanding), I have little tolerance for "he's a genius, give him a break". However, the flashes of the real Ryuuren are undeniable. *sigh* Still, as long as he has that flute, he's not eligible for entry into Ginny's Home for Broken Boys.

Then again, he did call Ryuuki an evil spirit…

I love how Ryuuki is aware of Seiran's presence, even when Shuurei doesn't seem to be. (Or maybe she's just so used to him that she doesn't react to it the way Ryuuki does.)

On the other hand! Kurou is halfway into my collection. I'm growing quite fond of him, although he "hates" Shouka, who I love so. I have to be amused by hatred that takes the form of peeling oranges and apologising. ^_^ And when he said that his and the Main House's power would protect Shuurei... *melts*

I miss Reishin. It's been too long. Fine, 2 episodes. That's too long! And Houju.

I love this show - not only is it full of bishies, they're broken bishies! :D

Poor Seiran at the end. It's obvious how much he's hurting. *pets* It's going to get a lot worse for him. *pets lots*

I need one of Shou (who I HATE) when he's taking Sa Enjun's heart in episode 7. I just edited it this evening and nearly cried -- the episode was so good. His face is so beautiful in that scene that I want to do something with it and have a reason to like Shou.

Well, except I already kinda like him because he's such a heartless bastard, but you know...

I do, I can, and I will. QuickTime Pro does this neat "image sequence" export, so you'll have a frame-by-frame series of caps to choose from. ^_^ (Why should I do something the quick way, when I can do it right?)

On your e-mail, yes, when I saw that scene in ep 7 again, I knew it would make the slashers swoon. I would wish a little more happiness for my poor broken Kouyuu, but …

I really *like* Kouyuu... in a little brother sort of way. Shuuei I handle delicately and am entertained by. Shouka and Ryuuki I adore for inner steeliness and outward goofiness. Seiran is just, well, hard and soft in all the right places, but probably too broken to live with for long. Reishin amuses me, but differently than Shuuei. Kurou is necessary to balance him out, and the three brothers really only make sense when placed together in one's head. (I too feel sorry for Kurou.) Houju, god, he's up there -- he just doesn't get enough airtime. As for Ryuuren, well, I keep seeing great flashes of potential in his character, and I at least like him more than his brother.

Not at all! ^_^ I'm still trying to figure out how I feel about Shuuei. I expect there's so much more to him than what's on the surface, but only because that's the case with every other character. Could he be the only unbroken man in the story?! Quite the concept, eh?

I was amused by Reishin, until Kouyuu's backstory came out, and then I loved him so. *sigh*
