I'm in a 3-hour break between classes, and the computer lab's open the whole time. Yep, Friday afternoons will never be the same again!

I sometimes wish I didn't work in a job where my spelling mattered so much. (Gasps of shock and outrage are heard 'round lj-land.) No, no, it's not what you think: I'm not hangin' up my grammar-nazi badge. And don't even look at my whip. ^_^

I would just like to be able to use Austen-esque spellings, like "chuse" and "shew". *dreamy sigh* I've already snuck in "&c." instead of "etc.". ^_^ (And considering that the ampersand evolved from "et", I'm on solid ground here. ^_^) Still…

There will be plenty of "chuse's" to see in Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrel. I came across my first one a couple of pages ago.
