In other news, I've had two glasses of wine and am breaking Ginny's second rule¹ with this communication.

[edit] Oh yeah! Today in class, some students were laughing about a bumper sticker one of them saw. "Jesus saves. Everyone else takes damage." I was like "yeah. I know. Where've you been the last 2 years?!" And then it hit me. I'm no longer nouveau geek. *cry* To all my geekier friends - I'm keeping you, just so that I can keep the title "Jay Gatsby of geekdom". And now you see why there is a Ginny's second rule.

Ginny's first rule: Men who are otherwise occupied are Off Limits.

(It's from the days when nothing was more attractive than a wedding ring. I'm pretty much over that, but the rule stays.)

Damn good rule. The furthest down that rabbit hole I went was a fling with a divorced guy who had unbeknownst to me fallen in love with someone else, and that still sucked.

If you like old movies, I'd recommend watching the adaptation starring Robert Redford. Early Redford, before he went away and came back. I normally prefer dark-haired men, but … *swoon*
