An exercise in patience…
Jan. 24th, 2006 03:17 pmYsa is learning to knit. *ducks from the wrath of Chris*
Whenever I teach people to knit lately, I've had new appreciation for the person who taught me how to knit. (Unfortunately, she turned out not so well.)
Ysa says: "hello world".
[edit:
linzq, I can't find the knitting poem, and I remember you posting it awhile ago. Cause SnB has some weird poem about "cat barf".]

Date: 2006-01-24 12:41 pm (UTC)We had a rank noob at one of the stitch n brunches I attended... someone handed her yarn and needles and about 20 stitches cast on, and we did our best to help her from there. And it was fine.

Date: 2006-01-24 12:54 pm (UTC)^^ So far I've successfully knitted four rows of a tiny square. So I probably won't be up for public knitting tomorrow night . . . but then, it occurs to me that the other people coming have seen me trying to write a novel in 30 days, so this can't possibly look any sillier. ^_^

Music: Ysa's running commentary about her knitting trials & tribulations - she shrieks, I am deaf
*laughs* Reminds me of when I first started trying to knit. Good luck to both of you and have fun! ^___^
