Daisy is wearing a bag. And quite happy about it, too. *headdesk*

The instructor today actually used "practise" correctly in a powerpoint presentation today. *sigh* Good grammar makes me happy.

We did brain teasers. You know, the kind where there's a visual representation of an expression, and you have to figure it out… like:

As the bus was getting close to the stop, a little old lady with umbrella came toward the shelter. I stepped back to let her in. She then pointed out that the bus was approaching, if I was waiting for it. WTF? If you're not waiting for the bus, and you have a brolly, why are you standing in the shelter?! And … just… nevermind. People. *shudder*

It was probably one of those. But what irked me was that I moved out of her way, and then she treated me like I was stupid and didn't see the bus coming. *shrug* people

Old ladies can be querulous sometimes. I remember one time waiting in line at the supermarket and there was this old woman with a cane who kept subtly trying to butt ahead of me and another girl (prodding us with her cart, eg). Finally she turned to us and said "You know, this checkout lane is for handicapped people. Are you handicapped?" (It was an express lane that happened to be wheelchair accessible.) Other girl and I exchanged glances, but didn't feel like making an issue of it, so we let her go ahead of us and went to another lane. But it was months, maybe years, before I stopped thinking of things I should have said back at her.

Eeee, I've gotten a few of those -_-; although I tend to get old men in business suits who give me attitude because apparently it's poor manners for a young 20-sumfin' female to NOT offer her seat to a well-dressed, well-groomed 50-sumfin' year old Scrooge because I'm supposed to have respect for my elders because his daddy's taxes paid to send my granddaddy off to WW2 back before he was born...

Or there's the old ladies that glower at me when I'm knitting... as though somehow by breaking into their secret society of late-night doily making orgies I have stolen something sacred from them and they are probably busy making a macrame noose for me as I type... scary!
