Henry II of England was born Henry Plantagenet. Richard & John were his sons, and there were more Plantagenet Kings of England (but after Eleanor died, I lost interest). And Henry II was Eleanor of Aquitaine's husband, which explains my interest.
Another interesting little tidbit is Plantagenet Gothic, which is slightly different from "regular" gothic. In Plantagenet Gothic, the centre ribs are half-turned in relation to the pillars, and there's an extra split before the ceiling ribs meet the columns. I'm not describing it well, and Google Image Search is failing me utterly tonight.
