Rambling

I'm a walking allergy attack. Daisy decided that she needed rubbing this morning. Huge gobs of fur coming off her! What is it about long-haired cats who can't keep their fur in good shape? Why do they imprint onto me? At least she held still while I gave her a little trim. And in spite of de-linting myself pretty thoroughly (or so I thought), I'm finding bits of her fur all over my workstation. Yikes!

Bored!

Met up with Em, Jason, Roupen & Alishya after work yesterday. It was nice to see them. But stinkin' hot.

Grrr! Work is Grrr! again. I will spare the petty details. Because they're very petty.

I'm fascinated by empty space lately. I'm by no means Spartan, but I have made an effort to clear some of the clutter out of my life. It's not just stuff, it's time, it's space, even people. Why do we have to fill everything up? Is it to distract us from the emptiness at the core?

Why do we have to fill everything up? Is it to distract us from the emptiness at the core?

distraction - maybe... but I think also that to sit too long and ponder is not good either - we need balance in everything... there is time to lie fallow and regenerate... and also time to go out and learn, enjoy and explore... too much of either just becomes a trap...

Piper is longhaired and all she does all day is clean herself. Her furr is pretty darn nice, except for the occasional knots, but they're in places where she can't reach, so I don't blame her. She gets baths from me every so often too.

But the basement is cat hair city man. Globs of her hair just float around -la la la- Rawr! -shakes head- On my computer chair, when I leave, I put a small pillow on it so she won't lay on it. When I went to NC for the weekend, someone messed with the chair, and the pillow was off. The chair was COVERED - like a blanket - with Piper hair. Thus why I don't like her laying on the chair =.=;;;;;
