I'm becoming a pretentious git!
Mar. 14th, 2005 09:53 pmThis afternoon's lecture was delivered by someone who makes Anya look tactful. Earlier in the term, I had to notetake a 2-hour class he taught, I was so glad when the student dropped that course, even if it did mean losing hours.
That said, he showed a few images from Judy Chicago's installation piece "The Dinner Party". It focusses on women in art throughout history. Much much beauty. Like Christine de Pisan's place setting, and Eleanor of Aquitaine's (she's a personal favourite of mine), and Mary Wollstonecraft's. I'm quite in awe. And it's on permanent display at the Brooklyn Museum. I really want to see that.
