My dragon has a name!

Gryla. I like the sound of it, there's history, and with history comes ambiguity and multiple roles.
This is good. I have done nothing with my writing for a couple of days now. I don't remember when I last wrote. Bad Ginny.
Okay, sure, I may be all Ginny McGrinch, but, this is a nice advent calendar. Going through past years is how I found my dragon's name. (Link from

I have to give my new laptop a name. Suggestions? Yes, I bought a used laptop yesterday, for the oh-so-nice notetaker job I've heard about. *fingers crossed* Sure, if I don't get the job, I've spent the money, but I got a used one - an oh-so-pretty old school iBook clamshell - graphite. I am very delighted with it. And pleased with me for not buying new as I was tempted.
Also, I have a second interview next week, and today I found out that they'll want me to put a file on a floppy on that day. Ummm... a floppy? How 1980's! (Shoot! Considering the average age of the lj-er, the 80's is almost before their time.) And the CD drive is just a ROM, not a CD-R. Anyone have any suggestions?

Date: 2004-12-09 08:52 pm (UTC)Laptop Name? Rally? Minnie May? (*shrugs* I was thinking "Gunsmith Cats" for some reason.) How about Princess Angelina Contessa Louisa Francesca Banana-bana-bo-besca the Third? Or perhaps, just plain "Pet", so you can say "Wanna see my pet?" ;)
