So, I was at the Rainbow Cinemas, with Chris & Ysa last night, waiting for Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind to begin, and something made me laugh. About 2 seconds later, I heard a familiar voice saying hello. Looked up, and there were Roupen and John.

Recognised by my laugh. Again. Anyone else might be slightly embarrassed. Not Ginny!

Wow, what a good movie. I had been told that it was slightly different than it was, but I think I liked it better this way. I had thought it was something like a subplot in Nancy Kress' Maximum Light (a very good book that I highly recommend), but it was like nothing else. Yay! Tell me there's "nothing new under the sun" will you...

In other news, looks like Long John Silver will come through on their offer of free shrimp for America. In spite of the fact that the announcement of the evidence of water on Mars was made 2 days after the deadline. The announcement that was preceded the day before by the announcement that an announcement would follow. (I'm thinkin' NASA likes announcements...)

So yes, free shrimp for America. One per customer, in a three hour window on one day only. Nice. (If I were a Long John Silver's employee, I'd be quitting right now... that'll be one hellacious shift!)
