Aug. 29th, 2004 11:11 amI admit, it was nice to see SkyDome almost full again. But they were cheering for the wrong team! It was nice to be surrounded by Baseball fans, not just people at a baseball game. But they were cheering for the wrong team! It was nice to see fans who didn't let themselves be taken out of the game just because their team was down 4 runs. But they were cheering for the wrong team!
On top of that, we were in an area where all the noise reverberated & echoed & just generally overwhelmed. Most of you don't believe this, but I'm a quiet, introverted person. Just, sometimes, I'm not.
So, um yeah, the Yankees won, my seeing the Jays win streak was broken. But I'm not bitter. Really, I'm not. However, I think I'm crossing The House that Ruth Built off my list of places to see... Yankees fans (in large groups) are scary.
This morning, rain. This afternoon, rain. Tonight - oh look! - just "cloudy". It's a good day to stay in pyjamas. That'll make going to the grocery store pretty interesting...
