Football!

Eeeeee! Went to the football game last night. Although low-scoring, it was a very good game. Score should've been higher - beautiful 100+ yard punt return for touchdown called back 'cause of a stupid penalty - grrr! But in the end everything worked out, so that's good.

Halfway through the second quarter, along came some game staff & wanted to talk to my dad. He'd won a prize! Cool. So they were going to come back in the 3rd quarter & ask him a question to win the prize. Except when the time came, the stupid announcer guy went to the wrong row - booo! Oh well, considering he was a TiCats fan at an Argos game, he probably wouldn't have wanted the prize anyway. And then my mom, my sister & I would've been fighting over it.

Heh, there's new mascots this year. Argo Bounce, Mrs. Bounce & Baby Bounces... when I first noticed the Baby Bounce, I wanted to call him "chibi", but caught myself just in time. I didn't really want to have to explain. Yet another sign that I'm watching too much anime.

I do have a question, though, about the Bounce family. I was under the impression that "Argo Bounce" was a derogatory term used by the rest of the league for a penalty against the other team. Like the refs are on Toronto's side... (Which definitely wasn't the case last night - did I mention a 100+ yard punt return for TD called back 'cause of a stupid penalty?) Does this ring a bell with anyone? 'Cause no one last night knew what I was talking about...

I'm tired today. So tired. Stupid rain! I finally had enough time to walk to work, but at Dundas, it started raining. Boooo...

That was a really good game; I was surprised to say the least at how good Bishop was. It was definitely weird enough though -- all those bizarre plays that kept us from getting our well-deserved points. Like, two field goals hitting the two separate posts?

Yeah, and I have no idea what Argo Bounce means either. But those mascots are indeed scary. It looks like they're going to eat your children or something.

Pre doesn't miss! I'm sure that wasn't him down there on the field the other night, it's the only possible explanation! Yes, Bishop was surprisingly good, as I said to my sister, "this is our backup quarterback?" after a lovely 20-yard scramble. Heh, you're in trouble, now that I know you're football fan, too!
