Jul. 30th, 2004 04:35 pmSo, I was going past Lewiscraft today & decided to stop in. Not expecting much in the way of assistance, I asked about kumihimo. I got the blank stare I was expecting, so I briefly explained. She replied: "We have origami." Um yeah, intricate round braiding/weaving and paper folding. Of course, you're right. I can't have one, so I'll settle for the other. Yeah, they're both Japanese, but wtf?
There's construction on my street. It was originally a parking lot and a small building. They've torn down the building & blocked off the parking lot. For weeks, I was admiring the lone (and tall & beautiful) tree bravely standing beside the hole in the empty parking lot. Sometime in the last few days, the hole was enlarged, and now the tree is in pieces in the hole. :-( Booo.
It's the weekend! Hoooray!
