So, 2 days ago, I liked to this. Well, today, in the same community was an alternate version.

I know I'm an idealist. I know that first post was highly romanticised. I know the reality is far different from what was there. But I don't need any more reality - there's enough of the damned stuff in my life already.

So yeah, I wish I hadn't read it. If you really want to, it's here. I guess this is where we separate the idealists from the realists. I know full well what camp I'm in...

I know what reality is like. That's why I pretend it doesn't exist. ;D

. . . My space chums think reality was once a primitive method of crowd control that got out of hand. In my view, it's absurdity dressed up in a three-piece business suit.

I made some studies, and reality is the leading cause of stress amongst those in touch with it. I can take it in small doses, but as a lifestyle I found it too confining.

I thought it was fun to read the 2nd right after the first, but I much preferred the first! The second seemed clever, but didn't move me. I just loved the first.

Maybe someone could write a story about the cynic who is watching them when she ends up getting swept off her feet by a stranger in that same cafe.

yay!! the second one cheered me right up!!!

i don't think the division is between idealists vs realists. in fact, i would dare say that idealism can lead to the jealous bitterness that fuels the second version...

I'm thinking reality lies somewhere between those two, perhaps...
