Jun. 27th, 2004 03:42 pmDear SkyDome Patrons,
I don't say baseball fans, because you are obviously not baseball fans. Baseball fans know that you do not leave your seat during game play. You wait for the end of the inning. Same with returning to your seat. You do not wait for the home run hitter to round the bases and then get up.
Also, you shouldn't need to be reminded to remove your hat during the anthem!
Irritatedly,
Ginny
Irritation with people aside, it was a good game. I was a little worried when it looked like they were settling into a pitchers' duel with the 'Spos up 1-0, but that only lasted 2 half-innings. Then the scoring began! The Expos got more runs than I would have liked, but since the final score was 10-5, I'm happy enough. It was also entertaining to look at the out of town scoreboard and see the final score in the Mets-Yankees game.
Dave was so cute. We're just friends, nothing romantic, but as we were leaving, herding with all the other sheep - grrr! - this rollerblader was going against the crowd, but not quite in control of his movements. I had to put my hands up to stop him from crashing into me. Then Dave was so worried. No, no, I'm fine. I used to get irritated when guys were so over-concerned. Like my independence was in question. Now I just get amused. And we had ice cream! Yay! Brownie batter. I still like Greg's the best. Damn them for moving farther away from me!
Today, I hide. Considering the Pride celebrations going on, that's for the best. Last year, I almost got into a fight with a bunch of snotty girls. And I wasn't even attending the parade. It's safer here.
writing update: an hour (sort of... ish) It might even be keepable stuff.
caffeine: 1 cup of tea
so far, so good.
