Jun. 26th, 2010 10:24 pmI don't like what's happening at my home right now. When I planned to leave, I expected to be leaving inconvenience, not riots and burning police cars. I suppose I also thought it wouldn't/couldn't happen there. I don't know if it's because "there" is my home or because it's in Canada or for another reason.
I think that like so many other things, it's a very complex issue that too many people will oversimplify. In the simplest terms, yes, violence is bad, and damage and destruction should be avoided. However, that's far too simple.
I wonder where the homeless people in Toronto are right now. :(

I love my job, but I don't want to go to the place where the things that happened today happened.
