ginny_t: for best results, store Ginny in a warm sunny place (Sherilyn Van Valkenburg - Delirium)

Crappity! Okay, Nightbreak, here's the deal. I'll do the meme, but in return, I get to be on your CSI Tokyo team? :-D Just not the sexy girl with the gun, 'cause that's too cliché.

5 songs/pieces of music that are important to me right now:
  • Call off the Search, Katie Melua

  • New Sun in The Sky, written by Dietz & Schwarz, preferably as sung by India Adams, from The Bandwagon

  • Moments of Pleasure, Kate Bush

  • Waltz from Swan Lake - yay! Tchaikovsky!

  • There's a piece of music I used to listen to a lot during my first years of University, it helped calm me when I was stressed. After about ten years' absence, it reappeared in my brain a couple of weeks ago. I don't remember what it's called, there are no lyrics, and I'm not going to sing/hum it, so I'll call it "Ginny's de-stressing song".
And damnit! Sean got Manamana stuck in my head. The song whose name I've never seen spelled the same way twice.

Oh yeah, I'm s'posed to tag 5 people. But I won't.

Why I love being Canadian (reason #159381):

Me: It's Mary Ann spelled this way, right?
MA (surprised): Yes.
Me: But no Ann with an 'e'!
MA (sad): No.
Me: But you do have the 'Mary', that decorates it almost as well as an 'e' would.

The official spelling is 'mahna mahna', as seen on the first Muppet Show soundtrack. It's actually a piece Jim Henson had been doing for ages - it was on the Ed Sullivan Show and Sesame Street - and was chosen to be the first skit on the first Muppet Show in an effort to ease in the audience with a popular classic.

I remember Moments of Pleasure - it's where you get the old sock and old shoe, right? I also like Rubberband Girl from that album - Aaaaaoooooooaaaaaaoooooo!

I get all sad when I say "mahnamahna" and no-one around me goes "do dooo do-do-do".

However, I seem to have a lot of friends who get it. :D

(I don't know the correct spelling, either.)

Rubberband Girl has ruined me for office work. Someone asks me for an elastic band, or I see them in the drawer, and for hours afterward, I'm siging about setting out from my catapult and landing with feet firm on the ground.

(Yes, the old sock & old shoe is from Moments of Pleasure. I really should put that on here somewhere, but that would mean finding the place where you can enter the little text blurb, and I'm not all that motivated to do so...)

See above, the Pop Culture Guru™ has spoken on the spelling issue. And of course your friends get it - that's why we're your friends! :-D

Like at the booth!

Apparently, there were people at AN singing "C is for Cookie" at the top of their lungs on Friday. XD

I suspect that was more due to the Yami no Matsui AMV that used the song rather than a sudden attack of Sesame Love. :)

Hai hai. ^^

*teams Ginny up with Tin Nyanko to take on the rather odd case of the Crystal Tokyo Mew Mew massacre.

Is it too late to negotiate a "no tentacles" clause? *meep*
