One door closes, a window opens
Aug. 4th, 2007 09:33 amSo, I've found the answer to the "how do I get all audio through the wireless" except it says because of the buffering the airport does, there's no way around a lag with audio.
Clearly, these people are not aware of the wonder that is mplayer, the handy little player that'll do just about anything you could ask of a video player and ask if you want fries with that. (In other words, it'll delay the video the 1-2 seconds of the audio lag and there'll be no problem with synching at all.)
The problem is that mplayer has stopped auto-detecting subtitles with the Tiger version. In the older version (different compile), it detected 'em no problem (did I mention wondrous shiny?), but not the compiled-for-Tiger version1. I could fight with it, I could hint at my flist that I'd like answers, or I could just drop back to the slightly older version that did the subtitles just fine, thankyouverymuch. ^_^
I may not be the most computer savvy, but I can usually find a way around the problem. *preens*
1Sure, yes, I know how to tell mplayer what subtitle file it should use, but I got spoiled by the auto-detect.
