A warm sunny place
Aug. 4th, 2006 03:06 pmFrom 11:30 this morning:
In The Mountain and the Valley, William Buckler writes about the perfect summer day, when the grass is perfectly green, the sky perfectly blue, a gentle breeze, the perfect amount of sunshine. It is the pinnacle of summer, better than all the days before and all the days that follow.
I think today might be this day. It is standing on pointe in exultation.
I feel giddy.
The sky has allowed admission to a few clouds. They are fluffy whites, though, so I do not begrudge them. ^_^
Sometimes, I wish I weren't so bipolar. I could moderate the highs to also moderate the lows. Otoh, today's euphoria makes Wednesday's misery fade into sepia-toned memory. I'm such a Libra.
Praise me, damnit! I'm eating leaves for lunch. ^_^
Be well, all.
