Last day of the year

Every now & then, I get that old Paul Hyde/Murray McLaughln/Tom Cochrane song "Let the Good Guys Win" song stuck in my head around New Year's. boooo...

I should spend the day cleaning... take a cue from the Japanese & start the year with a fresh clean home. Finding even a temporary location for the stuff yesterday was an exercise in creativity and balance.

Sharra is a disgusting little piggy these days. She's been eating the same food for awhile now, but lately she's oh-so-smelly... I had to close the door at 2a and open a window, so oh-so-smelly was she. boooo...

argh!

How on earth can anyone think that off-white text on a white background is legible? Another favourite is dark blue on black.

Grrrr! (Yes, I realised this morning that I had a similar offence, but I've fixed it! Because you should do that!)

Well, that should be no problem at all!

But seriously folks. This year, I'm going to try to:

Get back to the writing, and stick with the writing. Write, stuff, finish stuff, send stuff out, sell stuff even?
Get a Dot Warner icon. (How can I not have a Dot Warner icon?!?!?)
Eat more healthily. (Panini grill will help with that. Roast veggies sooooo good! Suddenly yesterday's splurge isn't so extravagant!)
Hug 7 new people. :-D

To be honest, I'm not much of a New Year's person. It's just another night. Resolutions can be made any time over the year. And, if you "fall off the wagon" so to speak, there's no reason you can't just start over. Resolve to quit smoking & smoke on February 5? Stop smoking again on February 6. And the 9, and the 15 &c. if necessary.
