So, I survived...
May. 24th, 2004 03:39 pmFirst off, I've been incommunicado for 3+ days at Anime North. My first con. I survived being the "Sacrificial (con) Virgin" quite well, I think. It was nice to have time to talk to some people & get to know them better!
I won't go into too much detail, most of the geeks on my friends list were there anyway. ^_^ But, apparently, I'm some kind of maniac at the fighting games. I won a frightening number (in a row) while simply button-bashing. I couldn't even tell I was winning or doing well, just concentrating on pressing every button I could until it stopped. (I finally lost, but it might have been more poor character choice than skill, although my left thumb was pretty sore by then.)
I got home and her Ladyship was pretty vexed with me. Miaowed quite loudly until she'd received "enough" petting. I also forgot to check on her water level before I left. Ooooops! Fixed now. There were 50+ e-mails to read and 120+ lj entries to catch up on. I started out faithfully reading them all. Then I started skimming. Then I started looking at the subjects & deciding if it looked interesting. So, I might've missed something. Sorry!
The NaNo meet-up is tonight. On one hand, I want to see the people. On the other hand, I want to be quiet for awhile. On the other other hand (?), it's icky, damp & rainy outside. Boooo.
