ginny_tOkay, so Billie Piper was no Fanny Price. She did fine in the role, but that was not the role of Fanny Price.
Northanger Abbey most certainly does not end in a steamy clench.
No way in hell does Anne Elliot run through the streets of Bath (and that was a terrible waste of Tony Head).
However, still I gave the recent Sense and Sensibility a chance (on account of David Morrissey, who does a fine job in the unenviable position of setting himself up for comparison to Alan Rickman). I should've known better. I'm not even sure I want to sit through the last hour. (A duel?! Wut?!)
